
Progress towards secondary schools in all regions
More students are expected to achieve at least a secondary education. This proportion has increased in all five regions since 2008.
Nearly 90 percent of the students who left the 9th grade in 2010, is expected to achieve at least a secondary education. That's an increase of almost three percentage points since 2009. The regional figures show that the national rate due to an increase in all regions. Regions Gauteng and North Jutland is above the national average with almost 91 percent of the students who are expected to achieve at least a secondary education.
